'Will power the economy, increase business investment, expand jobs'

It’s not the biggest company in the world, but with more than $60 billion in annual revenue, FedEx isn’t a mom-and-pop shop either.
And now it’s released a formal statement thanking President Trump and Congress for their work on the nation’s tax code.
“We applaud Congress for passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and thank the president for signing this legislation, which will modernize the U.S. tax code and increase America’s competitiveness,” the company said in a weekend statement after its busiest weeks of the year.
“FedEx has long supported tax reform efforts which offer pro-growth, pro-business solutions that will power the economy, increase business investment and expand job opportunities,”
BizJournals.com reported the company’s founder has repeatedly pushed for tax reform this year.
In June, a company statement labeled the nation’s tax system “broken.”
FedEx CEO Fred Smith later joined with David Abney of UPS to author an August op-ed in the Wall Street Journal titled “Business Rivals Agree on Policy.”
The piece touched on a variety of topics including the simplification of taxes, the report said.
FedEx already had announced that any benefit it sees from tax reform would be used for “capital acceleration” and for “equipment, technology and pension funds.”
The company, with 400,000 employees , ordinarily handles 13 million shipments per business day.

The move comes just as the American public is being given the opportunity to thank President Trump directly for his work on taxes and many other issues.

In fact, Reagan was the guy, the personality, who took me from the far left to being a constitutional, limited government kind of guy. That’s what Reagan did for me, but what Trump is doing in his first year, the accomplishments are greater; they’re more stunning. I’m just amazed at how much he’s doing. He’s taken us completely off defense. He’s on offense all the time.”
However, Trump’s boldness has engendered severe opposition, from the Democratic Party, the establishment media, the “deep state,” billionaires George Soros and Tom Steyer, Hollywood and establishment Republicans.
“We can have a pity party, Alex Jones and Farah, about all the people who have attacked us and opposed us all along,” Farah said. “It’s nothing compared to what Trump is facing.”
If only there was a way ordinary Americans could thank Trump for all he has done and encourage him to continue doing great things for the country, Farah thought. That’s why the WND founder launched the Thank Trump Card Campaign at ThankTrump.us.
The unique campaign allows users to send a digital thank you card to President Trump free of charge. Participants simply go to ThankTrump.us, select one of nine e-card designs, type a personalized message if desired and click “Submit.” Jones complimented Farah on the cards, calling them “Norman Rockwell stuff” and “very beautiful.”
Farah explained WND worked with the White House to ensure there was a path to get the cards to Trump.
“We should be thanking this guy every day for what he is accomplishing,” Farah declared.
Already, tens of thousands of Americans have sent Trump a thank-you card on ThankTrump.us. The most popular card has been a spiritually themed one that reads: “Praying for your continued success! May the Lord bless you and keep you.” Forty-three percent of participants have chosen that card design.
“This is not a Joseph Farah show; it’s not a WND show,” Farah said. “This is really about the wonderful, amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity we have to change our country fundamentally because of the election in 2016.”
