Video: Cop Gets Pissy With Citizen Who Pulled Him Over For Speeding – “I’m The Police”

Officer was doing 20 mph over the limit without warning lights

Yet another video of a citizen pulling over a speeding police officer has surfaced, as more Americans are becoming keen to hold police accountable.
The man in the following videos, named Travis, noticed a K9 officer in Minneapolis speed by him at up to 60 miles an hour in a 40 zone.
Travis also discovered that the car alongside the cop was keeping up with him and traveling at the same speed. It turned out to be the cop’s wife, also speeding.
“I followed the officer for about 4+ miles while his wife (at least he said it was his wife) was equally speeding. At the end, she nearly cut him off and I thought she was doing the same thing I was… Trying to get him to SLOW DOWN!” Travis notes.
“Once he realized I was following him, he just got out of his car and that is what you see.” he adds.
As the cop got out of the vehicle, it was instantly apparent that he was angry and proceeded to act aggressively toward Travis.
“You got a problem?” asked the officer.
“Yes I do,” replied Travis. “You were driving 56 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone without any warning lights. That’s completely unsafe.”
“Is it? I’m the police,” replied the officer, clearly insinuating that it is fine for police to break the law and even endanger other people on the roads.
The cop then admitted that the driver with him was speeding and is his wife. Travis called him out on it, asking why it is ok for her to speed.
Instead of admitting he was at fault, the cop attempted to turn the tables by suggesting that Travis was speeding in order to catch up with him.
This is exactly what has happened in similar cases, such as this one in Florida, recently.
In the end, the cop gave Travis his badge number, and while he drove by the cop’s wife, documenting her license number, she yelled an obscenity at him.
Travis says he has attempted to file a complaint numerous times, but that so far he has been ignored.
“I called the police to try and file a formal complaint and both times got transferred multiple times until they hung up on me. I have that recorded (and told them the call was recorded) as well.” he writes.
“Police require we ‘pay’ them money when they do wrong. While I don’t expect this police officer to pay me $145 for catching his 20+ mph speeding violation (or there abouts), I do expect an acknowledgement that he was doing wrong and an apology.” he concludes.
Two further videos also surfaced this week of citizens in Ohio Valley and Georgia catching cops speeding. In the first case, the citizen managed to catch up to the cop, who refused to interact with him. In the second case, the citizen was unable to catch up to a cop speeding at 90mph.
