Who's Hillary Trying To Kid?

3/30/2016

Picture

By Chris Rossini
Presidential campaign seasons are a free-for-all. Candidates can say whatever they want to get votes. Nothing that is said is binding. Nothing promised ever has to be implemented. Candidates don't know who votes for them. Voters can't say: "But you promised..." Actually, they can say it, but it doesn't matter. They'll still vote the next time. Election campaigns are the ultimate swindle.
Here's a quick 34 second YouTube clip of Hillary Clinton making a very common and deeply flawed statement. She tells a complete lie, but lies are just as valuable as the truth to politicians. They can both be used to get votes.
Hillary says:

"There is no evidence that the minimum wage being raised costs jobs."

Common statement. Totally untrue. Gets votes.
So if the minimum wage is $10/hr, it means that all individuals without the skills or productivity to earn $10/hr are forced into unemployment. They cannot get a job (by law) even if they are ready and willing to work for less.
If government raises the minimum to $15/hr, the squeeze is put on even more. Now, even if you really want to work, but only have the skills to earn $10, or $9, or $8/hr, you're out of luck. Even if employers would have gladly paid you, government had different plans for you ... unemployment.
That's really all the minimum wage does - it creates unemployment for individuals of a certain skill and productivity level. The minimum wage doesn't create anything. It only destroys.
If, as Hillary states, "there is no evidence" that raising the minimum wage costs jobs, why be so stingy? Why not raise the minimum wage to $50/hr? If it won't cost jobs, what's the holdup?
If the minimum wage was raised to $50/hr, a vast majority of the people reading this would be instantly thrown out of work. If your skills and productivity can only fetch $20 or $25/hr, why would someone pay you $50? Because the government says so?
Ha!
Government has no problem throwing the lowest skilled people out of work, which is why they move so slowly in raising the minimum wage. They don't care about the poor and low-skilled. Instead of working, those people can just go on the government dole. They can become loyal dependents who will then vote to keep the their welfare coming in the next election.
The minimum wage (any minimum wage) is strictly and exclusively a job killer.
The only determination is which jobs will be killed. If you're poor, low-skilled, a teenager, or not very productive, Hillary is coming for you.
Get your unemployment forms ready.

GUARD AT ‘TERROR TARGET’ BELGIAN NUCLEAR SITE KILLED, ACCESS BADGE STOLEN

A security guard was shot dead in the early evening on Thursday

RT - MARCH 26, 2016 198 Comments

Guard at ‘terror target’ Belgian nuclear site killed, access badge stolen

A security officer at a nuclear site was killed in the Belgian city of Charleroi two days after the terror attacks in Brussels, local newspaper Derniere Heure reported, citing police sources. The paper added that the man’s security pass was stolen.

Charleroi is located 50 km from the Belgian capital.

A security guard, who was walking his dog, was shot dead in the early evening on Thursday, the paper said.

His security pass was stolen, which alerted the investigators since the man was a member of a nuclear power plant staff.

Earlier Thursday, DH reported that Brussels suicide bombers Khalid and Ibrahim El Bakraoui were planning attacks on Belgian nuclear power stations and that the arrest of Paris attacker Salah Abdeslam had accelerated the plans of the terrorists.

The brothers reportedly planted a hidden camera in front of the home of the director of the Belgian nuclear research program. The footage with “dozens of hours” of the movements of Belgium’s nuclear boss was seized during an anti-terrorist raid in the apartment of another suspect belonging to the same terror cell, Mohammed Bakkali.

Similar information, but without the names of Brussels suicide bombers was published in DH in February.

Belgium is on high alert following the deadly Brussels attacks. On Tuesday, Brussels was rocked by twin blasts at the city’s Zaventem Airport and an explosion at the Maalbeek Metro station, just meters away from key EU buildings, less than an hour later.

Shortly after the deadly Brussels attacks, personnel from Belgium’s two nuclear power stations in Doel and in Tihange were promptly evacuated. DH also reported that soldiers have been seen at both sites in recent weeks.

What Killed The Middle Class?

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 03/24/2016 09:02 -0400

Submitted by Charles Hugh-Smith of OfTwoMinds blog,

If the four structural trends highlighted below don't reverse, the middle class is heading for extinction.

Everyone knows the middle class is fading fast. I've covered this issue in depth for years, for example: Honey, I Shrunk the Middle Class: Perhaps 1/3 of Households Qualify(December 28, 2015) and What Does It Take To Be Middle Class? (December 5, 2013)

This raises an obvious question: what killed the middle class? While many commentators try to identify one killer cause (for example, the U.S. going off the gold standard in 1971), the die-off of the middle class is more akin to the die-off in honey bees, which is the result of the interaction of multiple causes (factors that increase the toxic load dumped on bees and other pollinators by modern agriculture).

Longtime collaborator Gordon T. Long and I discuss the decline of the middle class and other key topics in a new 29-minute video How did that work out for you?

So where do we begin this detective story? With the engine of all real prosperity, productivity. This chart reveals that wages stopped rising with productivity around 1980.

Here's another look at the same phenomenon:

Productivity has been slipping since around 2003: Alan Greenspan:"Productivity is Dead”

Cause #1: declining productivity, which means the pie of real wealth is no longer expanding.

Exhibit #2: middle class wage earners have not received any of the gains. Wages as a percentage of GDP have been falling for decades, with occasional blips up in tech/housing bubbles:

Inflation-adjusted household income has dropped back to levels first reached in the 1980s:

More recently, wages have actually declined, regardless of educational attainment:

Income gains have all flowed to the top 10%, with most of the gains being concentrated in the top 5% and top 1%:

If the middle class didn't receive any of the gains, who did? Corporate profits have soared to unprecedented levels:

Cause #2: all the gains in the economy have flowed to corporations and the top 10% of financiers, managers and technocrats.

But wait a minute--hasn't the rising stock market enriched the middle class?Short answer: no. Middle class household wealth has absolutely cratered since the top of the housing bubble in 2007, and hasn't recovered.

Why? Middle class wealth is based not in stocks but in the family home. The middle class does not own enough financial assets to have participated in the latest stock market bubble, while the majority did not recover the wealth lost in the housing bubble bust. This is the cost of allowing the financial sector to financialize housing and mortgages in the 2000s.

Cause #3: the middle class doesn't own the "right" assets to benefit from systemic financialization and financial speculation.

How about rising costs? The federal agencies tasked with measuring inflation assure us inflation is near-zero. But these measures underweight big-ticket costs like healthcare and higher education, where costs have exploded higher, greatly increasing the burden on the middle class:

Cause #4: soaring costs of big-ticket expenses such as higher education and healthcare. Saving $10 on cheap jeans imported from Asia does not make up for 135% jumps in tuition and college fees, and $100 decline in the cost of a laptop computer does not make up for healthcare insurance and out-of-pocket expenses in the tens of thousands of dollars per household.

Correspondent Kevin K. submitted this article and accompanying note: Colleges with the biggest tuition hikes (my ala mater University of Hawaii-Manoa clocked in with an increase of 137% since 2004.)

"It looks like the article linked above didn't do much research since:
University of California Davis
2004 in-state tuition $5,684
2015 in state tuition $13,951
Percentage increase 145.44 percent"

There is no way middle class households with declining real incomes can pay soaring costs imposed by state-enforced cartels and gain ground financially. If the four structural trends highlighted above don't reverse, the middle class is heading for extinction, the victim of financialization, the glorification of financial speculation via central bank-central state policies, the decline of productivity and rising costs imposed by state-enforced cartels.

Gordon T. Long and I discuss the decline of the middle class and other key topics:

"People don't see the real Donald Trump," son tells 2News

MORE MEDIA

(KUTV) Donald Trump, Junior, in town to help his father campaign ahead of the Tuesday caucus in Utah, sat down with 2News this weekend to talk about what he says are misconceptions about his dad.

"People don't see the real Donald Trump. They see the guy that's being brash, but they don't see the guy around the dinner table with his family. They don't see the guy swinging a golf club with his 20 month old granddaughter. They don't see that guy - that's just family first. They don't see the guy that cares deeply about this country.. the great human being."

Sitting down Saturday with 2News the morning after what he says was an awesome rally in Salt Lake, he says he was thrilled to be able to bring the campaign to Utah - a state he says he loves and visits often.

"I was just here last month with my whole family, my kids, for their vacation. I was like, guys, we've got to bring the campaign here. We've got to show some love to Utah."

Despite lagging in recent polls, including a new survey out Saturday which show Trump behind Senator Ted Cruz and even Governor John Kasich, he says Utahns have a lot in common with the Trumps, namely a strong work ethic.

"All the guys I know that are Utahns - either LDS or just from the state - there's a work ethic here. It's a work ethic that my father brought us up with."

His father he described as a 'blue collar billionaire'. He says he is giving a voice to the working class, a class he says is the only unprotected class in America.

"My father is giving these people a voice. The people who built America, these people are finally getting a voice and that's why they're so passionate."

But Donald Trump, Junior blamed many of the recent clashes, including Friday night in Salt Lake outside Trump's rally where police came in clad with riot gear, on the loud left.

"He's not the one throwing stones. He's not the one, you know, they're bringing out the riot gear. It's not for our people. It's for the people who are trying to stop him!"

He says those same people are now attacking Trump's family, including a recent incident this week with his brother Eric who was sent a letter with a white powdery substance inside. Donald Trump, Jr. said he, too, was the recipient of multiple personal attacks, citing an instance when he posted a picture of he and his daughter.

"They said horrible things like I hope she gets cancer or she or your whole family dies... things I wouldn't say to my worst enemy! Say what you want to me. I'm a big boy, I can take it. But to say those things, to direct them at an 8 year old girl, a 20 month old girl... it's disgraceful."

Trump refuted claims that much of the fury comes in response to his father's often heated statements made to supporters.

"There comes a time in your life, in your country, when you have to put your fist down and be loud. To make a point and you have to do that. That's what he's doing."

He said his father has brought to light many issues that had previously been taboo, including immigration. But he insisted his father is not a racist.

"It's been difficult for me as a son to watch people try to say that stuff about my father because it couldn't be further from the truth, because I've seen who he is, who he hangs out with, who he employs. Really, there's nothing further from the truth, and it does a real disservice because I think that's still a real issue in this country."

On Mitt Romney's attacks and the back and forth between the former GOP presidential candidate and his father, Trump, Jr. said it was sad.

"Honestly, It's a shame. I was there not that long ago, when Mitt was in my father's office, begging for money... from him, from me, from my brother, from my sister. I was there at a press conference when he was saying I've been a very good businessman, but I haven't been the businessman that Donald Trump is. It's a shame that he's had to take this establishment party line... because what my father is doing that's unique is giving a voice to the people. So for him to say that he's for the people, I think it's sad and I think it's really disingenuous."

COME ON CALI!!! CALIFORNIA PRIMARY COULD SEAL THE DEAL FOR DONALD TRUMP

    - MARCH 18, 2016 -

    hero_image_main_2 (1)

    San Diego Union Tribune

After all sorts of hand-wringing over the placement of our primary at the useless end of the presidential election cycle, California — the state with the most delegates to give and one of the final six states to award them on June 7 — may very well decide whether Donald Trump is the Republican nominee. That’s a lot of power and responsibility, for Trump and for California.

The New York Times projected Wednesday that if Trump maintains his current level of support in the remaining races, he “would almost certainly secure the nomination.” Not only that, but the projection shows him securing it in California — with this caveat, “If Mr. Trump loses California, he could narrowly miss the delegate cutoff.” Brace yourselves.

Trump is already saying that if he just misses closing the deal and an open convention goes against him there would be “riots” and “problems like you’ve never seen before” and “I wouldn’t lead it, but I think bad things would happen.” So much for him asking supporters to act peacefully as we urged candidates on both sides of the aisle to do this week.
Even as Hillary Clinton solidified her hold on the Democratic nomination Tuesday, Trump remained the clear GOP frontrunner. So will he win the nomination outright by claiming 1,237 of the 2,472 Republican delegates before the party’s Cleveland convention in mid-July?

Trump is more than halfway to the magic number now. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is about a third of the way there but faces near impossible odds of hitting the necessary target. And Ohio Gov. John Kasich sounds resurgent after winning all of Ohio’s 66 delegates Tuesday.
Where does that leave us? That leaves the establishment candidate, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, bowing out of the race after Trump trounced him in his home state and Kasich “getting ready to rent a covered wagon” and head west “to California,” despite needing a mathematically impossible 112 percent of the remaining delegates to win the nomination on a first ballot at the Republican convention.

That leaves Trump, Cruz and Kasich thinking about how they might corral sufficient delegates on a potential second or third or — as was needed in 1880 — 36th vote at the GOP convention.

That leaves House Speaker Paul Ryan, 2012 Republican candidate Mitt Romney’s vice presidential pick, denying he’d accept the 2016 GOP nomination, if it were offered to him at the convention. (Ryan, also previously said, of course, that he wouldn’t run for speaker last year.)

And that leaves Ron Nehring, California chairman and national spokesman for the Cruz campaign, crowing. In a post Wednesday on FlashReport, he wrote that 14 of the remaining 22 contests are closed primaries like California’s, meaning only registered Republicans can vote. Four other contests allow independents to vote in the Republican primary and four others allow Democrats to vote for a Republican, if they so choose.

Trump, Nehring notes, has won just six of 16 closed primaries so far and does better when Democrats can vote in GOP primaries.

Will enough California Republicans want a contested convention? Or will they rally around Trump to prevent one? Will any candidate run the table in California, or will results be mixed? The state awards 159 of its 172 GOP delegates by congressional district — three delegates per winner in each of the 53 districts — and 13 to whoever wins the state.

All this is a wonky way of saying you decide. You.

Suicide of the GOP — or Rebirth?

    Thursday - March 17, 2016 at 10:48 pm

    By Patrick Buchanan

“If his poll numbers hold, Trump will be there six months from now when the Sweet 16 is cut to the Final Four, and he will likely be in the finals.”

My prediction, in July of 2015, looks pretty good right now.

    151118_POL_Trump-Moderate.jpg.CROP.promo-xlarge2

Herewith, a second prediction. Republican wailing over his prospective nomination aside, Donald Trump could beat Hillary Clinton like a drum in November.

Indeed, only the fear that Trump can win explains the hysteria in this city.

Here is The Washington Post of March 18: “As a moral question it is straightforward. The mission of any responsible Republican should be to block a Trump nomination and election.”

The Orwellian headline over that editorial: “To defend our democracy, the GOP must aim for a brokered convention.”

Beautiful. Defending democracy requires Republicans to cancel the democratic decision of the largest voter turnout of any primaries in American history. And this is now a moral imperative for Republicans.

Like the Third World leaders it lectures, the Post celebrates democracy — so long as the voters get it right.

Whatever one may think of the Donald, he has exposed not only how far out of touch our political elites are, but how insular is the audience that listens to our media elite.

Understandably, Trump’s rivals were hesitant to take him on, seeing the number he did on “little Marco,” “low energy” Jeb and “Lyin’ Ted.”

But the Big Media — the Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Times — have been relentless and ruthless.

Yet Trump’s strength with voters seemed to grow, pari passu, with the savagery of their attacks. As for National Review, The Weekly Standard and the accredited conservative columnists of the big op-ed pages, their hostility to Trump seems to rise, commensurate with Trump’s rising polls.

As the Wizard of Oz was exposed as a little man behind a curtain with a big megaphone, our media establishment is unlikely ever again to be seen as formidable as it once was.

    And the GOP?

Those Republicans who assert that a Trump nomination would be a moral stain, a scarlet letter, the death of the party, they are most likely describing what a Trump nomination would mean to their own ideologies and interests.

Barry Goldwater lost 44 states in 1964, and the GOP fell to less than a third of Congress. “The Republican Party is dead,” wailed the Rockefeller wing. Actually, it wasn’t. Only the Rockefeller wing was dead.

After the great Yellowstone fire in the summer of ’88, the spring of ’89 produced astonishing green growth everywhere. 1964 was the Yellowstone fire of the GOP, burning up a million acres of dead wood, preparing the path for party renewal. Renewal often follows rebellion.

Republican strength today, on Capitol Hill and in state offices, is at levels unseen since Calvin Coolidge. Turnout in the GOP primaries has been running at levels unseen in American history, while turnout in the Democratic primaries is below what it was in the Obama-Clinton race of 2008.

This opportunity for Republicans should be a cause for rejoicing, not all this weeping and gnashing of teeth. If the party in Cleveland can bring together the Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich forces, the White House, Supreme Court and Congress are all within reach.

Consider. Clinton was beaten by Bernie Sanders in Michigan, and pressed in Ohio and Illinois, on her support for NAFTA and the trade deals of the Clinton-Bush-Obama era that eviscerated American manufacturing and led to the loss of millions of factory jobs and the stagnation of wages.

    Sanders’ issues are Trump’s issues.

A Trump campaign across the industrial Midwest, Pennsylvania and New Jersey featuring attacks on Hillary Clinton’s support for NAFTA, the WTO, MFN for China — and her backing of amnesty and citizenship for illegal immigrants, and for the Iraq and Libyan debacles — is a winning hand.

Lately, 116 architects and subcontractors of the Bush I and II foreign policy took their own version of the Oxford Oath. They will not vote for, nor serve in a Trump administration.

Talking heads are bobbing up on cable TV to declare that if Trump is nominee, they will not vote for him and may vote for Clinton.

This is not unwelcome news. Let them go.

Their departure testifies that Trump is offering something new and different from the foreign policy failures this crowd did so much to produce.

The worst mistake Trump could make would be to tailor his winning positions on trade, immigration and intervention — to court such losers.

While Trump should reach out to the defeated establishment of the party, he cannot compromise the issues that brought him where he is, or embrace the failed policies that establishment produced. This would be throwing away his aces.

The Trump campaign is not a hostile takeover of the Republican Party. It is a rebellion of shareholders who are voting to throw out the corporate officers and board of directors that ran the company into the ground.

Only the company here is our country.

Ben Stein: "I Have Not Heard A Racist Word" Out Of Donald Trump's Mouth Stein: Trump Is "Not A Ranting, Blubbering, Fool, He's Making A Lot Of Sense, And I Don't See What's Anti-Democratic About Him"

    Video ››› March 15, 2016 5:20 PM EDT ››› MEDIA MATTERS STAFF

BEN STEIN: People talk about Trump as if he's some sort of lunatic. What he's saying makes a lot of sense.

NEIL CAVUTO (HOST): But it bothers a lot of folks who say -- even in the Republican Party, Ben, that he might be alienating Latino voters who he seems to be targeting. He says no, he's just talking about illegals. It's very clear in his statements and press releases that's exactly what he is saying, but it's sort of been morphed together, as sort of an anti-Hispanic rant. What do you say?

STEIN: [INAUDIBLE] Morphed together by the Democratic establishment. There's so much talk about the Republican establishment, and I don't even know who is in the Republican establishment. I would think I would be, by virtue of age and the fact that both my father and grandfather were fairly prominent Republicans. But, what I'm looking at here is the Democratic establishment, is the one trying to cut off debate, trying to keep Mr. Trump from speaking. I don't think there's ever been a case before where a major political party in the US has had, on a systematic basis, an attempt to silence the other party's leading presidential candidate. That is an outrage. That is the real anti-Democratic thing that is going on here. It's not Trump, who is the anti-democratic here, it is the other side. My old childhood next door neighbor, dear friend Carl Bernstein, obviously on very different sides of the fence politically, says Mr. Trump is a neo-fascist. He's the exact opposite of a neo-fascist. He wants government of, by, and for the people. It's the other side trying to shout him down, and have government by a screaming, un-elected elite.

    [...]

CAVUTO:  Do you know, or see right now, Ben, any dangers for Donald Trump? I mean, you know, If he has a good night tonight, wins five out of the six, you know, big events here, he could be well on his way. And you hear the establishment trying to make overtures to him, kind of, Donald Trump trying to make overtures to him, kind of. Can they all get along and hug, when all is said and done?

STEIN: I think they can get along and hug, and I think Mr. Trump is a rising star. I think he has caught on to the national mood, I think Mrs. Clinton is a falling star, trying to play race based, identity based politics. Mr. Trump is saying let's all stand together as Americans. I have not heard a racist word out of that man's mouth. He wants a peaceful, calm America, he wants a strong military. How's he going to pay for it with his tax plan, god only knows, and I certainly don't know. But I think people should be listening to him. He's not a ranting, blubbering fool. He's making a lot of sense, and I don't see what's anti-democratic about him.

This is just the latest evidence of Matthews’ thinking that rules and standards don’t apply to him. Back in 2009, he and his wife went to a church to buy a Christmas without his wallet. They picked out a tree and had the young man working the tree lot load it into their car, before telling him that he forgot his wallet. Matthews asked the teen volunteer to let him take the tree without paying and come back and pay later. When the teen said he couldn’t allow that, Matthews had a fit and said, “I’m Chris Matthews!” When the church volunteer wasn’t impressed enough to break the rules, Matthews sat in the car while his wife walked back to the house to get his wallet. The fair-haired fop barked, “See what you made her do?” When Matthews’ wife returned with his wallet, they didn’t even leave the poor volunteer a tip. He could have at least booked him as a guest on his show.

Matthews, who has been known to fuss with his hair for hours and terrorize MSNBC staffers, has always tried to be thought of as a “regular guy” who just happens to be in with the Washington elite. But his failure to take a hiatus from the show for his own failed bid for Senate and his use of MSNBC as a cash machine for his wife’s campaignshow us that he’s just another elite deviant, with no regard for his own viewers. He promised full disclosure several times on air, but only said enough to let viewers know his wife was running. Not once did he mention the donations from his guests.

If MSNBC has any respect for their viewers or for journalism, they must dump Matthews immediately. SIGN THE PETITION TO DEMAND NBC FIRE CHRIS MATTHEWS NOW

Judicial Watch: Documents Reveal US Army Indoctrinated Soldiers on Dangers of ‘White Privilege’

    MARCH 09, 2016

‘Our society attaches privilege to being white and male and heterosexual.’

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained documents from the United States Department of the Army revealing that in April 2015, 400 soldiers in the 67th Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon, Georgia, were subjected to a “white privilege” briefing, including a PowerPoint presentation instructing the attendees: “Our society attaches privilege to being white and male and heterosexual …”

The slideshow also informed the soldiers: “Race privilege gives whites little reason to pay a lot of attention to African Americans.” It alleged that there are unspecified “powerful forces everywhere” keeping different kinds of people from being valued, accepted, and appreciated, but “we act as if it doesn’t exist.” This alleged privilege creates a “yawning divide” in income, wealth, and dignity.  The material described a mythical African woman who isn’t aware that she’s black until she comes to America, encounters “white racism” and discovers the U.S. is “organized according to race.”

The Department of the Army documents were obtained in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking:

Any and all materials used in an Equal Opportunity briefing provided on April 2, 2015, to the 67th Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon, Georgia, which included a discussion of “white privilege,” including but not limited to, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, audio/video tapes, course syllabi, and any recordings of the presentation itself.

The response to the Judicial Watch FOIA request included the entire Equal Opportunity Training PowerPoint presentation entitled “Power and Privilege,” which states:

Privilege exists when one group has something of value that is denied to others simply because of the groups they belong to, rather than because of anything they’ve done or failed to do.

Privilege has become one of those loaded words we need to reclaim so that we can use it to name and illuminate the truth

    ***

Race privilege gives whites little reason to pay a lot of attention to African Americans or to how white privilege affects them. “To be white in American [sic] means not having to think about it” [Quotation not attributed]

    ***

Our society attaches privilege to being white and male and heterosexual regardless of your social class.

    ***

Imagine a school or a workplace where all kinds of people feel comfortable showing up. [sic] valued, accepted, supported, appreciated, respected, belonging. [sic] Something very powerful keeps this from us.

The truth of this powerful forces [sic] is everywhere, but we don’t know how to talk about it and so we act as though it doesn’t exist

The trouble we’re in privileges [sic] some groups at the expense of others.

It creates a yawning divide in levels of income, wealth, dignity, safety, health and quality of life.

It promotes fear, suspicion, discrimination, harassment, and violence.

    ***

Consider the “black woman” in Africa who has not experienced white racism and does not identify herself as a “black woman”.  African, a woman, but not black.

She only became “black” when she came to the U.S. where privilege is organized according to race, where she is assigned to a social category that bears that name and she is treated differently as a result. [Emphasis added]

    ***

The trouble we’re in can’t be solved unless the “privileged” make the problem of privilege their problem and do something about it.

The fact that it’s so easy for me and other people in dominant groups not to do this is the single most powerful barrier to change.

Though news of the indoctrination incident was briefly reported in Stars and Stripes shortly after it occurred, only one of the above slides previously has been made public.  Confronted with the information at the time, an Army spokesperson claimed the presentation was not officially sanctioned.

Judicial Watch previously obtained Defense Department equal opportunity training materials that depict conservative organizations as “hate groups” and advise students to be aware that “many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.”  And last month, Judicial Watch uncovered Air Force Academy documents that show how the Academy used its “Chapel Tithes and Offering Fund” to pay for cadets to participate in worship services featuring witchcraft, “Faery Magick,” and voodoo.

Outrageous – that is the only word to describe this type of raw racist indoctrination,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.  “The Obama administration undermines the morale of our military with morally repugnant ‘equal opportunity training’ that makes many soldiers feel unwelcome because they are the wrong sex, race, religion or aren’t part of a politically correct group.”

    RUSSIA BEGINS WITHDRAWING FROM SYRIA

Ceasefire failures and a return to war

    Kurt Nimmo | Infowars.com - MARCH 14, 2016 56 Comments

    Russia Begins Withdrawing from Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the “main part” of his military to begin withdrawing from Syria.

“I consider the mission set for the Defense Ministry and the armed forces on the whole has been accomplished,” he said during a meeting at the Kremlin. “I am therefore ordering the Defense Ministry to begin the withdrawal of the main part of our military force from the Syrian Arab Republic from tomorrow.”

Putin did not specify how many troops would leave. He said, however, Russia’s Hmeimim airbase and its Mediterranean port at Tartus will continue normal operations.

    Ceasefire Violations

Numerous violations of a US and Russian brokered ceasefire have occurred since February 27.

On Monday the Russian Defense Ministry said the ceasefire was violated at least 14 times over the last 24 hours in Latakia, Daraa, Damascus and Hama.

The ministry blamed Ahrar al-Sham for a mortar attack on Klyaba Kinsiba and Jabal-Alakaya in the Latakia province.

Ahrar al-Sham is backed by Saudi Arabia. Its goal is to remove al-Assad and establish and Islamic government and impose sharia law in Syria.

The United States and France have warned the government of Bashar al-Assad about responding to attacks by groups that have not signed on to the ceasefire and Secretary of State John Kerry has warned the Syrian government and Russia against “testing boundaries.”

Plan B: A Return to War

The Russian withdrawal follows the start of a new round of peace talks in Geneva to resolve the conflict. The agenda includes UN Security Council resolution 2254 focusing on the formation of a new transitional government, issues of governance, a new constitution and UN-monitored presidential and parliamentary elections within 18 months.

The Saudi-backed High Negotiations Committee (HNC) insists al-Assad will have no part in a new government. Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallam said any talk of removing Assad during the transitional period was “a red line.”

Kerry characterized al-Moallam’s remark as “a spoiler” designed to derail peace talks.

Staffan de Mistura, a Swedish-Italian diplomat who is the UN special envoy to Syria, said the alternative to the US and Saudi deal is a return to war.

“As far as I know the only Plan B is a return to war, and a much worse war than before,” he said.

The NDAA Legalizes The Use Of Propaganda On The US Public

    santaFlickr/x-ray delta one1948 propaganda Santa

The newest version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes an amendment that would legalize the use of propaganda on the American public, reports Michael Hastings ofBuzzFeed.

The amendment — proposed by Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) and Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and passed in the House last Friday afternoon — would effectively nullify the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948, which explicitly forbids information and psychological operations aimed at influencing U.S. public opinion.

Thornberry said that the current law “ties the hands of America’s diplomatic officials, military, and others by inhibiting our ability to effectively communicate in a credible way,” according to Buzzfeed.

The vote came two days after a federal judged ruledthat an indefinite detention provision in the annual defense bill was unconstitutional.

Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, who released a highly critical report regarding the distortion of truth by senior military officials in Iraq and Afghanistan, dedicated a section of his report to Information Operations (IO) and states that after Desert Storm the military wanted to transform IO "into a core military competency on a par with air, ground, maritime and special operations."

Davis defines IO as "the integrated employment of electronic warfare (EW), computer network operations (CNO), psychological operations (PSYOP), military deception (MILDEC), and operations security (OPSEC), in concert with specified supporting and related capabilities, to influence, disrupt, corrupt or usurp adversarial human and automated decision making while protecting our own."

IO are primarily used to target foreign audiences, but Davis cites numerous senior leaders who want to (in the words of  Colonel Richard B. Leap) "protect a key friendly center of gravity, to wit US national will" by repealing the Smith-Mundt Act to allow the direct deployment of these tactics on the American public.

Davis quotes Brigadier General Ralph O. Baker — the Pentagon officer responsible for the Department of Defense’s Joint Force Development (i.e. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) — who defines IO as activities undertaken to "shape the essential narrative of a conflict or situation and thus affect the attitudes and behaviors of the targeted audience" andequates descriptions of combat operations with standard marketing strategies

For years, commercial advertisers have based their advertisement strategies on the premise that there is a positive correlation between the number of times a consumer is exposed to product advertisement and that consumer’s inclination to sample the new product. The very same principle applies to how we influence our target audiences when we conduct COIN.

Davis subsequently explains the "cumulative failure of our nation’s major media in every category" as they continually interviewed only those senior U.S. officials who had top-level access, even as the officials given that clearance were required to stick to "talking points" given to them by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

If the NDAA goes into effect in its current form, the State Department and Pentagon can go beyond manipulating mainstream media outlets and directly disseminate campaigns of misinformation to the U.S. public.

The 91-year-old pro-family activist, who previously called Trump the "last hope for America," took the podium at Trump's campaign rally Friday afternoon in St. Louis to formally announce her support for the New York billionaire.

"I was born and grew up here, went to school and college in St. Louis and it's a great city," Schlafly told the crowd. "I welcome you all, this is the heart of America and I'm glad to meet a great American," she said of Trump.

"I want to thank Phyllis. She is a great lady," Trump said minutes later. "This is a great, great lady. Very exceptional."

‘A TOTAL DISGRACE’: TRUMP CALLS OUT ‘DISHONESTY OF PRESS’ FOR EQUATING SUPPORTERS WITH NAZIS

“What they did on the Today Show was a disgrace”

    Adan Salazar | Infowars.com - MARCH 11, 2016 21 Comments

‘A total disgrace’: Trump Calls Out ‘dishonesty of press’ for Equating Supporters with Nazis

Leading GOP candidate Donald Trump lambasted the media Thursday for attempting to draw comparisons between fervent supporters at his rallies and Nazi Germany.

    Comments appear at 1:33:05.

After condemning violence at his campaign assemblies during the CNN debate in Miami, Trump went on to criticize the media and in particular the Today Show for suggesting his supporters were signaling a Nazi salute.

    Here’s the transcript via CNN:

TRUMP: It shows the total dishonesty of the press. We were having — on a few occasions, again massive crowds. And we’re talking and I’m saying who is going to vote on Tuesday? Who is going to vote? The place goes crazy. Then I say, hey, do me a favor. Raise your right hand. Do you swear you’re going to vote for Donald Trump?

Everyone’s laughing, we’re all having a good time. That’s why I have much bigger crowds than Ted, because we have a good time at mine.

    (APPLAUSE)

TRUMP: But we’re all having a good time and the next day, on the Today Show and a couple of other place, not too many. Because when you look at it, everyone’s smiling, laughing. Their arms are raised like this. They had pictures, still pictures of people and they tried to equate it to Nazi Germany.

    (BELL RINGS)

It is a disgrace. It was a total disgrace. And I’ve had reporters, people that you know, come up to me and said that — what they did on the Today Show was a disgrace.

Judicial Watch: Appeals Court Hearing on Lawsuit to Stop Congress from Participating in D.C.’s Small Business Obamacare Exchange

    MARCH 01, 2016

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced a D.C. Court of Appeals hearing, scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, on a taxpayer lawsuit Judicial Watch filed against the District of Columbia Health Benefit Exchange Authority to stop Congress from participating in DC’s Obamacare “Small Business Exchange” (Kirby Vining v. Executive Board of D.C. Health Benefit Exchange Authority, et al. (No. 15-cv-242)).  The benefit at issue is popularly known as Congress’s Obamacare exemption.

The lawsuit, which names the District of Colombia Health Benefit Exchange Authority and its officials as defendants, was filed on October 15, 2014, on behalf of D.C. taxpayer Kirby Vining in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.  D.C. law limits participation in the exchange to small businesses employing 50 or fewer full-time employees.  Vining, a District of Columbia resident since 1986, seeks to prevent the Exchange Authority from allowing at least 12,359 members of Congress, congressional staffers, their spouses and dependents to purchase health insurance in D.C.’s Small Business Exchange.

    Date: Wednesday, March 2
    Time: 9:30 am ET
    Location: D.C. Court of Appeals
    Historic Courthouse
    Courtroom 1

The lawsuit first exposed fraudulent applications filed by the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate with the D.C. Exchange Authority.  The applications, which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, show that the House and Senate claimed to have only 45 employees each. They also show that the House and Senate attested to having “50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees.”  Congress employs upwards of 20,000 people. The applications also falsely state that the House and Senate are “local/state governments.”  The “electronic signature” section of the application includes the following language:

I’ve provided true and correct information to all the questions on this form to the best of my knowledge.  I know that if I’m not truthful, there may be a penalty.

The actual names of the signatories were blacked out by the D.C. Exchange in the documents Judicial Watch obtained.  The taxpayer lawsuit seeks to prevent at least $77 million in District funds from being used to help Congress violate the restrictions imposed on it by the Obamacare law.  The fraudulent Obamacare applications filed by Congress resulted in an U.S. Senate investigation led by Senator David Vitter (R-LA).  (Separately, Judicial Watch, Citizens Against Government Waste, and eight other public interest groups filed an ethics complaint with the Senate Ethics Committee.)

On January 7, 2015, the D.C. government admitted that the law does not allow for Congress to obtain benefits on the Exchange, but also argued that the Office of Personnel Management could override the District’s law. The case was dismissed on February 25, 2015, despite the continued fraudulent use of D.C. monies to provide special health benefits to Congress.

In its appeal, Judicial Watch argues that the D.C. Exchange Authority has knowingly allowed Congress to participate in the Small Business Exchange, despite the fact that Congress employs thousands of individuals:

Since November 2013, the Exchange Authority has allowed the U.S. House of Representatives … and the U.S. Senate … to use the Small Business Exchange to provide health insurance to some (but not all) congressional employees, including members of Congress and these employees’ spouses and dependents … At all relevant times, Defendants have known that the House and the Senate were participating in the Small Business Exchange to provide health insurance to some (but not all) congressional employees … As of February 9, 2014, at least 12,359 congressional employees and their dependents had obtained health insurance through the Small Business Exchange. These 12,359 persons represent approximately 86 percent of the 14,289 persons enrolled in the Small business Exchange between October 1, 2013 and September 9, 2014.

Judicial Watch also argues that in light of the district’s use of municipal funds to pay for the D.C. small business exchange, Kirby Vining, a longtime D.C. resident, has standing to file a grievance as a D.C. resident and taxpayer.

Ted Cruz, A Bush By Another Name

Neil Bush, younger brother of President George W. Bush talks to the press after a meeting with Paraguayan President Nicaron Duarte in Asuncion, on Feb. 28, 2008. (NORBERTO DUARTE/AFP/Getty Images)

Neil Bush, the son of President George H. W. Bush, who defrauded U.S. taxpayers out of $1.5 billion dollars in the savings and loan scam, and later peddled influence for the Chinese government, (who plied him with Chinese prostitutes) has formally endorsed Senator Ted Cruz for president. You can’t make this stuff up.

This endorsement says much. Since the other, more politically involved Bush men have a distinct dislike for Mr. Cruz, I suppose Neil Bush is better than no Bush. Let’s look at the wonderful memories that Neil Bush has left us with. First there is  is that little banking charade he steered us into back in 1985.

Back in 1981, Neil Bush was director of Silverado Savings and Loan in Denver, Colorado. Neil was very generous, lending millions to  pals Kenneth Good and William Walters. The $250 million in loans went into default, S.S. & L. went bankrupt and had to be seized by the Feds.  Neil Bush walked away with a cool $100,000 personal loan which he never paid back. Documents released by the Office of Thrift Supervision detailed the conflict of interest charges against Neil. Federal regulators described him as “unqualified, and untrained” to be a director of a financial institution.

It seems Neil miscalculated just how much he knew about directing a mega financial institution like Silverado Savings and Loan. By the summer of 1990, the cost of bailing out the savings and loan industry would cost at least $500 billion! Neil’s Silverado adventure cost U.S. taxpayers $1.5 billion.

Neil actually got fraudulent loans they knew would fail, use the money to short the stock and crash the bank and collect millions according to CIA cut-out and Bush family associate Al Martin in his seminal work The Conspirators: The Secrets of an Iran-Contra Insider.

Oh, and let’s not forget his lies to the press immediately after John Hinckley Jr. allegedly shot Ronald Reagan. At first he and his wife admitted to knowing the Hinckley family, that they donated a lot of money to the Bush endeavors … yet the next day he recanted and claimed he actually didn’t know them, and wasn’t even sure if they donated any money! In fact John Hinckley Sr. give heavily to George Bush Sr., in 1964, 1966, 1970 and 1980 and Neil and his wife were scheduled to dine with John Hinckley Jr.’s older brother the very night Jr. allegedly shot Reagan.

This is the same Neil Bush who was sent Asian prostitutes by the Chinese conglomerate that was using Neil to peddle influence to the U.S. government for a multi-billion dollar Semi-conductor deal, according to his own deposition.

The Bush-Cruz connection is clear. Ted was George W.’s brain when he ran for president. A top policy adviser, Ted maneuvered for Solicitor General in Bush World but settled for a plum at the Federal Trade Commission. Ted’s a Bush man with deep ties to the political and financial establishment.  Ted and wife Heidi brag about being the first “Bush marriage” – they met as Bush staffers. Cruz was an adviser on legal affairs while Heidi was an adviser on economic policy and eventually director for the Western Hemisphere on the National Security Council under Condoleezza Rice. Condi helped give us the phony war in Iraq. Heidi then went to the Bush U.S. Trade Representative as a top deputy to U.S. Trade Rep. Robert Zoellick, who wired Heidi’s membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and job at Goldman Sachs. The bailed-out bank then loaned Cruz $1 million secretly to finance his Senate race. Crux would also borrow an undisclosed $1 million loan from Citicorp.

Completing this poll entitles you to Daily Caller news updates free of charge. You may opt out at anytime. You also agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Cruz has become quite adroit at saying one thing while his history shows him doing the other. Rather than the outsider he claims to be, Ted Cruz is the ultimate insider, former top Bush 41 policy aide and globalist, Ivy Leaguer, and establishment insider. There is no better example of this than Calgary Ted’s actions surrounding the big Wall Street banks and their secret funding of his political ascension. Oil and Gas Millions fund this guy Cruz has been gorging at the table of the ultimate insider of all insiders – Goldman Sachs and Citibank. His TPP support is the proof in the pudding.

Cruz and his establishment puppet masters are engaged in an aggressive strategy against Trump. The false narrative of course being that Cruz is the outsider while Trump is the insider. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In its most simplistic terms – the power elite have no leverage over Trump – nothing. Cruz, on the other hand, is the establishment’s quisling, spawned by the Bushes and controlled by Wall Street, who became a strident “outsider” only four years ago.

TRUMP IS RIGHT ABOUT ISLAM HATING THE WEST

Polls show Muslims have negative view of westerners

    Paul Joseph Watson - MARCH 11, 2016 0 Comments
Donald Trump has whipped up a fresh round of controversy after he asserted that “Islam hates the west,” but the Republican frontrunner is completely correct.

During a CNN interview, Trump told Anderson Cooper, “Islam hates us”.Jake Tapper grilled Trump on the quote during last night’s Republican debate, but The Donald didn’t back down, stating, “I will tell you, there’s something going on that maybe you don’t know about, or maybe a lot of other people don’t know about but there’s tremendous hatred.”
Marco Rubio then shot back by suggesting that Donald Trump’s comments on Muslims were to blame for Muslims being intolerant towards Christians.
A top security official in Dubai followed up by warning that a Trump presidency could bring about a “clash of civilizations”.
“If Trump beats Hillary (Clinton), that means that the scenario of the clash of civilizations….will come to light at the hands of the candidate and (ISIS leader) al-Baghdadi,”wrote Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, the deputy chairman of police and general security in Dubai.
By trotting out the usual “not all Muslims” line, the politically correct media is attempting to deflect from the fact that Muslim sentiment towards the west is undoubtedly negative.
A 2011 poll conducted by Pew Research Center found that Muslims had apredominantly negative view of westerners and associated them with repugnant characteristics.
“For Muslims in Muslim countries, here are the percentages of people who associate Westerners with a certain trait: selfish (68 percent), violent (66 percent), greedy (64 percent), immoral (61 percent), arrogant (57 percent) and fanatical (53 percent). In addition, 44 percent think Westerners are respectful of women, 33 percent think they are honest, 31 percent think they are tolerant and 29 percent think they are generous.”
By contrast, the number of westerners who associated Muslims with these negative traits was significantly lower.
In addition to these figures, huge numbers of Muslims throughout the world embrace shariah law, a set of beliefs that is completely at odds with western values and principles.
A Pew poll of Muslims who embrace Sharia law found shocking levels of support for things such as stoning women to death for adultery, and executing people who leave the religion of Islam.

A Center for Security Policy survey conducted last year found that more than half of Muslims living in the United States agreed that, “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.”
In other words, more than half of Muslim-Americans would be favorable to all these practices being instituted in America, despite the fact that they would desecrate the very bedrock of everything America is supposed to stand for.
The common misconception is that only extremists or radical Muslims hold these barbaric beliefs. However, as the video below illustrates, so-called “moderate” Muslims proudly embrace these views.

Prominent Muslim preachers in the Middle East and the west have also made recent statements that betray overwhelming antagonism towards the west.
Sheikh Muhammad Ayed gave a speech at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem in which he asserted that Muslims should use the migrant crisis to breed with European citizens and “conquer their countries.”
Undercover footage broadcast by a Danish TV station also showsMohammad Fouad al-Barazi, the head imam of the mosque of the Islamic Union in Denmark, admitting that the goal of the migrant influx is for Muslims to conquer Europe.
Meanwhile, Muslim refugees arriving in Alberta, Canada are being welcomed by a pro-ISIS hate preacher who has called for the destruction of enemies of Islam and prayed for jihadists to “hit their targets”.

If these kind of sentiments don’t represent hatred towards the west, then I don’t know what does.
Rubio’s insinuation that Trump is responsible for Christians being persecuted in the Muslim world is also patently ludicrous. A recent investigation by Open Doors found that, “82 percent of the world’s persecution of Christians is being committed by Muslims.”
Watch the videos below for more analysis of polls about Muslim attitudes which only serve to prove Trump’s point.

For the 18th month in a row, US Import prices fell YoY (down 6.1% vs expectations of a 6.5% drop). This is the longest deflationary streak since 1999. Under the hood we see the first first rise in prices (ex food, fuel) since May 2014. Fuel price dropped 3.9% - the 8th consecutive drop - and foreign food product prices dropped 2% - the most since Feb 2012.  Perhaps most crucially, China's forced deflationary wave continues to build with the index at its lowest since 2010.

    Longest losing streak since 1999...

With China exporting deflation at the fastest pace since 2010...

The Labor Department’s accompanying cheat sheet for reporters repeated the phrase “The index has not recorded a monthly increase since…” ten times. The range of sustained declines ranged from March 2014 for non-petroleum imports, to September 2015 for natural gas
